At a press conference in the headquarters of the political organization, the leader pointed out this victory is news that “fills one’s soul and spirit” and since yesterday it has made all of us who believe in the freedom of peoples happy in independence, in peace and non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries.
Cabello stated that with this victory the continent breathes easy because “another world is possible with Lula president.”
He pointed out that the electoral campaigns in the South American giant make “a monster like (Jair) Bolsonaro” be seen as a person who can exercise the presidency.
A character, he said, linked to violence, arms trafficking, fanaticism, who came to the presidency of that country, and fortunately, the people reacted and elected Lula because “they had closed his way.”
They prevented him from being a candidate, they imprisoned him, “they wanted to bury him alive” as he says, but he triumphed in elections that were not easy to win because of what was at stake on the continent, he pointed out.
Cabello recalled that with Lula, (Néstor) Kirchner and Commander Hugo Chávez, it was possible to put an end to the Free Trade Area of the Americas, to later give way to the necessary integration movements among the peoples.
He mentioned among them the Union of South American Nations and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States.
Regarding the so-called Lima Group, the party leader stated that it emerged as an appendix to the Organization of American States and was made up of countries unconditional to the United States’ proposal to attack and sanction Venezuela.
He assured that this group disappeared, because the last president who remained in office to promote these acts of aggression against the Bolivarian Republic was Bolsonaro.
The first vice president of the PSUV pointed out that all of them left and President Nicolás Maduro, who was the target, “is still standing.”
