On his Twitter account, the Cuban leader posted “solidarity sets the pace in these days prior to Cuba’s truth at the UN”, while assuring that “the world will once again speak out against U.S. blockade that unsuccessfully tries to take away even our smiles. Thanks to our friends from so many countries who do not stop fighting”.
Precisely, Cuba will present for the thirtieth time a resolution entitled Necessity of ending the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States of America against Cuba on November 2 and 3, which has been supported by the overwhelming majority of the UN members states.
During the past weekend, a great number of demonstrations in favor of Cuba were held in separate cities around the world, including in the United States.
