Speaking to Sky News television, Shoukry praised the differences between coming Climate Summit (COP27), which will be held in a few days in Egypt, and the previous one held in Glasgow last year, due to current geopolitical events affecting energy and food markets.
In this regard, Shoukry urged the COP27 delegations to focus on the conference´s main issue and to avoid any political issues.
As an example of the climate crisis in the world, Shoukry pointed to the recent rains in Pakistan, which affected millions of people, and the high temperatures that hit Europe and the United States.
