Sixty-five Ukrainian soldiers were killed in firefights with the regional militias, the TASS news agency reported on Sunday.
In addition, the Ukrainian army lost two artillery pieces, nine armored vehicles and eight battle tanks.
Meanwhile, units of engineers and sappers on October 29 cleared more than eight hectares of territory from explosive objects left by the Ukrainian security forces in the Kopani and Novoaleksandrovka settlement areas.
The territory of the Luhansk region was completely liberated last August as part of the special military operation launched by Russia on February 24, and since then, the Ukrainian army has been trying unsuccessfully to recover the lost ground.
