With this new offer, the company joins other airlines that are increasing their presence in Cuba for the coming winter season (from November to April), the Ministry of Tourism informed.
From now on, these flights will also connect to Cuba and Japan, departing from Tokyo to Vancouver, Canada, and later on the Toronto-Havana route.
Several Canadian airlines already operate in Cuba, after a break due to the Covid-19 pandemic, so they point to the Cuban market as a unique and safe destination.
Canada has been one of Cuba’s major tourist-sending markets for more than a decade, and direct flights are currently of special significance for Cuban tourist industry, which is recovering after the pandemic.
As of next Sunday, Aeromexico will also resume its flights to Cuba, on the Mexico City-Havana route, with seven weekly frequencies.
With this reopening, the airline reaffirms its commitment to expanding its connectivity network to unite Mexico with the word’s major destinations, its representatives said in August during the announcement.
Aeromexico began its operations in Cuba in 2011 and in 2020 stopped them as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic and the health restrictions resulting from it.
