The State Media Network assured that the highest departmental authorities of La Paz, Pando, Chuquisaca, Beni, Potosi, Cochabamba, Tarija, and Oruro, who are taking part in the debate at the Avanti Hotel, are attending the event, chaired by President Luis Arce.
Santa Cruz Governor Luis Fernando Camacho initially announced on television that he would attend the meeting, but later he retracted and is once again the only guest absent among his colleagues.
Prominent figures of the Movement towards Socialism-Political Instrument for the Sovereignty of the Peoples (MAS-IPSP) and the opposition agreed on Camacho’s criticism because he announced he would reinforce the strike for an indefinite period in Santa Cruz, which enters its seventh day this Friday.
According to official sources, each day this form of protest is in force represents a cost from 36 to 40 million dollars for the Santa Cruz territory and the country.
