The organization Committee of Doctors of Sudan explained in a statement on Wednesday that with that deceased, who was run over by a military vehicle, 119 deaths have been reported in the country amid police violence unleashed against the marches for a year.
Other sources pointed out that during the mobilizations, in which the dissidents experienced fierce resistance by security forces, many demonstrators were injured with tear gas and stun grenades.
The Committee of Doctors said in a document, on the other hand, that uniformed officers assaulted a hospital in the neighboring city of Omdurman, where they gathered to launch toxic gases from there at the demonstrators on the street.
After describing these actions as unfortunate and sad, the Committee of Doctors considered that clinics are not a garrison for armies but places to save patients’ lives.
