UPS, world’s leading courier company with rising profits

Washington, Oct 25 (Prensa Latina) UPS (United Parcel Service) shares rose 2.48 percent today, when the multinational announced it had a turnover of some 73.305 billion dollars in 2022.

A statement from UPS, the world’s largest courier company, noted that between January and September of the current year it traded 5.5 percent more than the 69,512 million dollars earned on the same date in 2021.

The company had benefits in the first nine months of the current year for 10 billion 31 million dollars, an increase of 9.1 percent compared to the same period of 2021, where it obtained nine billion 192 million of the green currency.

Industry analysts say UPS’s billings are the result of higher delivery prices offsetting lower demand for its services.

Likewise, Wall Street investors pointed out that during this third quarter UPS achieved profits worth three billion 149 million dollars, which represents a six percent increase in its interannual index.

Meanwhile, the company’s top executive, Carl Tomé, asserted that despite the fact that the contemporary macroeconomic context is “very dynamic,” the company is on track to achieve its financial goals for 2022.

In this sense, financial specialists recalled that UPS maintains its forecasts for this year, and stressed that the turnover will be around 102 billion dollars.
