During a meeting of branch directors, the first secretary of the Communist Party in Ciego de Avila, Livan Izquierdo, called to control resources, savings, and efficiency, due to the tense economic situation that the country is going through.
Provincial Ministry of Tourism Delegate Iyolexis Correa pointed out that the hotels and recreational facilities show a renewed image and the staff is prepared to provide high-quality service as required by foreign and national holidaymakers.
She pointed out that the recovery works in hotels, gardening, the installation of promotional billboards and traffic signs on the causeway and on interior roads have been sped up.
The inauguration of the Grand Aston Cayo Paredon hotel is scheduled for November. The establishment will offer 635 rooms and it is the first facility of that islet, run by the Archipelago International tourist group in the northern Ciego de Avila.
Other events include the reopening of the Colonial Cayo Coco hotel, which underwent complete restoration, transformation of its image and the design of attractive services.
With a view to improving the quality of gastronomic offers, agreements were signed with a group of micro, small and medium-sized companies, and local development projects to guarantee the supplies of food and other essential resources.
