As the internal rules stipulate, the Central Committee, with 376 full and alternate members, held its initial meeting the day after the closing ceremony of the National Congress to choose the members of the highest party bodies.
Apart from his ratification as Party leader, Xi heads the CPCh Politburo Standing Committee and named Li Qiang, Zhao Leji, Wang Huning, Cai Qi, Ding Xuexiang, and Li Xi to stand alongside him.
He is also the chairman of the Communist organization’s Central Military Commission.
Since 2012, Xi Jinping has been the CPCh General Secretary, which has more than 96.7 million militants from all sectors of socioeconomic life and also 4.9 million grassroots- organizations.
He was reelected to that position during the previous Congress held in 2017.
The CPCh Central Committee officials were elected on Saturday, along with 133 members of the 20th Central Commission for Discipline Control, in the context of the closing ceremony of the 20th Congress of the party, which has been in session since October 16.
