During the Extraordinary Plenary Session of the National Committee of the Union of Young Communists (UJC), he stressed that the organization must constantly be pressing moods, dissatisfactions and complaints.
He called for quick action to reverse any negativity, through active and real participation, because only then, he said, ‘commitment is born’.
He emphasized that he is a convinced and militant of the ‘Yes we can’, as Army General Raúl Castro expressed, in some of the most critical years of national history.
The Cuban head of state stressed there are very difficult challenges facing the survival of the country and the presence of young people will be vital to face them.
The plenary began its sessions in the work by commissions where the attendees debated on the UJC’s strategy to strengthen its integral role.
In this sense, they presented a summary of the systematic debates at the base, reflections and discussions among young people, the accurate and precise leadership of the Communist Party of Cuba and a group of proposals built collectively.
