If it was not for the U.S. blockade, which violates the rights of an entire people to live in better conditions, Cuba could have more economic development, said Saphon, while welcoming a Cuban sports delegation visiting Cambodia´s capital.

Cuba can always count on Cambodia, whose vote in favor of the resolution ‘Necessity of putting an end to the economic, commercial and financial U.S. blockade against Cuba’, which will be presented soon at the UN, will be guaranteed, Saphon assured.

At the meeting, the Cuban delegation and the Cuba-Cambodia Friendship Association Head Raúl Fornés thanked the countless signs of solidarity and affection from Cambodia that advocated increasing collaboration with the Cuban parliament.

Fornés, also serving as first Vice President of the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER), also praised the excellent bilateral relations and progress in cooperation agreements signed during his visit.
