On the contrary, the Israeli authorities seek military solutions that serve their interests, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates denounced in a statement.

The Foreign Ministry described as a heinous crime the death last night of Salah Briki, 19, during a new raid on the city of Jenin, in the north of the occupied West Bank.

“The Israeli government bears full and direct responsibility for this crime, which exposes the falsity of the occupation’s accusations and its misleading calls for calm,” it was stressed.

Faced with this situation, the Foreign Ministry urged the UN Security Council to put an end to its policy of double standards in dealing with international problems and assume its legal and moral responsibilities in the face of continuous Israeli violations.

According to the Health Ministry, at least 175 Palestinians have been killed since the beginning of this year by Israel, 124 in the West Bank and 51 in the Gaza Strip, including 41 minors.
