As announced by General Oleg Egorov, deputy head of the Russian Coordination Center based at the Hmeimim airbase in the Latakia province, the raids targeted a radical training camp near the towns of Qatma and Azaz northwest of Aleppo.
A command center, weapons, ammunition and matériel depots, as well as 15 “technicals” outfitted with heavy machine guns and recoilless weapons, were destroyed in the attacks, the officer said.
He added that the air raids were conducted as internal clashes continue between radical groups in the Afrin and Azaz regions.
Coordinated Syrian and Russian bombardments destroyed several headquarters and camps of radical groups and killed at least 120 radicals on September 14th.
On September 19th the Russian Aerospace Forces killed at least 45 terrorists, including two ringleaders, in the province of Idlib.
