The information reported on infractions incurred this weekend by a speedboat and three military vessels, which trespassed into Lebanon’s territorial waters in front of the southern border point of Ras Al-Naqoura.
According to the complaint, the duration of the said violations ranged between 10 minutes and about an hour at a distance of approximately 200 to 400 meters from the border.
The statement further specified that an enemy drone violated Lebanese airspace near the southern city of Al-Wazzani, at a distance of about 700 meters, for a period of 15 minutes before heading towards the occupied territories.
The issue of Israeli transgressions, whether by sea or air, is monitored in coordination with the United Nations Interim Force, the Lebanese Army said.
The Minister of Transport and Public Works in the interim government, Ali Hamie, revealed during his speech at the 41st meeting of the International Civil Aviation Organization earlier this month, that Israel has violated Lebanon’s airspace on 10,887 different occasions in the last 10 years.
The Minister also rejected Israeli missile attacks on Syrian territory from Lebanese airspace, disrupting stability and peace in the region.
