During his tour, Lazo learned about people’s concerns in Surgidero de Batabano.
At a meeting with authorities from the Communist Party, the Government, and lawmakers in the municipality, he was informed of the housing situation in the territory, as well as the situation of 45 mothers with three or more children, 11 bedridden people, and the nine elderly people who live alone.
Mayor Raudel Garcia explained to the head of the Cuban Parliament about the actions of social transformation in a pharmacy, a daycare center, the Viajero bus terminal, and other facilities related to public health.
However, Lazo insisted on the relevance of knowing and defending the work of the Cuban Revolution in its different fields, on the need to increase production and efficiency, to increase cultivable areas, and that the main proposals from the population be responded to in the Municipal Development Plan.
He called to check compliance with the established dates, to be systematic in the control and to involve the population in each of the activities, the National Assembly published on its website.
