During the closing of the first international IT event, ahead of the sixth edition of Hackathon, to be held in November, Rodriguez referred to the strengthening of the capacities of over six thousand creative minds.

She highlighted the importance of the event, which saw the participation of representatives from Cuba, Venezuela, Mexico, Honduras and Guatemala, as it strengthens collaborative work relationships and helps measure the level of young talent in the region.

“In addition to the development of the creative and technological industry, we have incubated more than 35 technology-based enterprises, which have stood out in national and international calls,” Rodriguez emphasized.

She also expressed that the integration of participants into different programs and work teams of institutions and companies,

strengthened their technological skills, and improved their performance.

The rector of UNAN-Managua also spoke of the consolidation of a network of more than 100 mentors from different public institutions, universities, technological institutes and the private sector.

“We managed to prototype more than 200 web and mobile applications developed by technology enthusiasts who make up multidisciplinary teams and are integrated into the creative route of the Hackathon Nicaragua festival,” she stated.
