The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that a 20-year-old Palestinian was killed by gunfire during protests against a new military operation in the city of Jenin and in the neighboring refugee camp, in the north of the West Bank.

The Wafa news agency said that there is a doctor among the wounded who works at the Khalil Suleiman Hospital.

The same source reported that a 17-year-old Palestinian died in an Israeli medical center due to serious injuries sustained during his detention early last month.

The young man underwent an operation at the Hashomer Tal Hospital during which his left hand was amputated after suffering severe and deep burns over 90 percent of his body, but died soon after.

The Prisoners Society denounced that this new fatality brings the number of Palestinian prisoners who have died in Israel since 1967 up to 232.
