Russian Federal Security Service detains Ukrainian planning an attack

Moscow, Oct 12 (Prensa Latina) The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) announced the arrest of a Ukrainian who was planning a terrorist attack by using portable missile launchers in Moscow province.

According to the FSB, the operation helped abort the attack, planned by Ukrainian intelligence against a region of the Russian capital, as per a dispatch from the TASS agency on Wednesday.

A fifty-year-old Ukrainian national was arrested as a result of a joint action of the FSB and the police, the statement from the special services specified.

According to the investigation, the detainee, linked to the Security Service of Ukraine, transported two Igla MANPADS hidden in his car into Russia from Estonia.

The FSB agents seized the weapons and communication equipment confirming the involvement of the man in the terrorist plans and his contacts with the Ukrainian special services.
