According to the official statement from the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, last night an embassy vehicle was hit by gunfire in transit near the country’s embassy, the Sputnik news agency reported.

The ministry notified “the corresponding US structures” of the event. In addition, it presented images from the surveillance cameras.

In this regard, the Foreign Ministry spoke to the American charge d’affaires in Baku, Hugo Guevara and expressed its “serious concern” regarding the incident, and demanded guaranteeing the security of the embassy of Azerbaijan.
