Turkish forces shell northern Syria
Damascus, Oct 11 (Prensa Latina) Activists quoted by local media on Tuesday reported intense shelling by the Turkish forces against more than 25 towns in the provinces of Aleppo and Raqa in northern Syria.

The airstrikes carried out with missiles, mortars, tanks, and heavy artillery targeted towns in Ain Issa and Tal Abyad municipalities, and both sides of the M4 international highway, in areas controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) militia.

According to residents, the Al-Fatsa village mosque in eastern Ain Issa was shelled and partially destroyed and the town of Manbij in northeastern Aleppo was the target of airstrikes with heavy weapons and artillery shells.

The military actions by Turkish soldiers, illegally present in this nation, causing material damage to the homes and properties of local inhabitants.

The Turkish army escalated its warlike actions after declaring its intention to control a 30-kilometer-deep border strip on Syrian territory, with the argument of eliminating the threat of Kurdish militias.

Since 2018, military troops and illegal armed groups from Türkiye (formerly Turkey) managed through three operations named Olive Branch, Source of Peace, and Euphrates Shield to control extensive areas in Idlib, Aleppo, Raqa, and Hasakeh provinces.
