The press service stated that the Serbian leader met with Russian Ambassador Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko on Tusday.
During the meeting, Vucic and the diplomat discussed bilateral cooperation and exchanged views on the geopolitical situation.
The talks also addressed the issue of Kosovo and Metohija, on which the president reiterated that Serbia is committed to a policy of peace and cooperation to solve the problems openly.
The autonomous Serbian province of Kosovo and Metohija unilaterally declared its independence in February 2008 and has been actively seeking in recent years to join international organizations, including the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and Interpol.
More than 60 countries, including Russia, India, and China, as well as five EU member States, oppose the recognition of Kosovo.
