At a meeting to check the recovery actions, the head of State stressed the need to keep the population informed about the progress of the works.
The president affirmed that the most urgent issues in the territories are restoring power, communications, and water.
In Pinar del Rio, the territory hardest hit by Hurricane Ian, more than 83,707 homes have been affected, and all municipalities have water supply problems.
Participants in the meeting also reported that power services and info-communications were restored in Havana, and 74 people remain in evacuation centers.
In Artemisa, the recovery of damaged houses continues, and more than 93 percent of electricity has been restored. Hurricane Ian hit western Cuba on September 27, leaving a trail of destruction to homes, severe damage to agriculture, flooding in low-lying areas, and affecting power service across the country.
