The attack occurred when the bus was crossing the bridge over the Ingulets River, northeast of Kherson, and was hit by a US-made Himars multiple rocket launcher shell, the region’s government wrote on its Telegram account on Friday.
In mid-March, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that the Kherson region was fully under Russian control, resulting in a special military operation in southeastern Ukraine.
In late April, a Civil-Military Administration was formed to govern this territory.
A referendum was held in September in which the region’s inhabitants overwhelmingly supported the Kherson region joining Russia.
However, Ukraine maintains its attacks on this territory, mainly against population settlements and economic and social targets.
