The event, which is taking place until Friday, October 7, is analyzing the legal, management, and information technology aspects of the enforcement of the Multilateral Agreement, in which about 30 representatives from 12 countries participate.

According to the Ministry of Labor, the agreement protects the rights of millions of migrant workers and their families in Ibero-American countries in matters related to pensions due to age, disability, or death.

The Dominican Republic currently holds the presidency of the Agreement’s Technical Administrative Committee and is responsible for ensuring its uniform implementation and resolving administrative and interpretation issues.

The Ibero-American Social Security Organization is an international specialized technical agency for the promotion of economic and social welfare in Ibero-America and other Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking nations.
