Evo Morales, leader of the Movement Towards Socialism-Political Instrument for the Sovereignty of the People, expressed confidence that the Ministry of Justice will act about Molina “with the same interest it shows when investigating false letters” against the political group he heads.

The recording broadcast on different television channels and radio stations shows a conversation between Molina and a congressman about the designation of judicial authorities, under the resigning person “it was edited.”

Amid the scandal, Molina himself told reporters that the audio corresponds to a meeting with legislator Antonio Gabriel Choque and four Potosí leaders held in November 2021.

Due to criticism from both the Government and the opposition, Molina’s resignation was announced on Wednesday evening in a brief communiqué without giving further details of the causes.
