The diplomat specified that Moscow perceives the new military aid package from Washington to Kiev as a direct threat to its strategic interests, according to the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to the ambassador, “the deliveries of military supplies by the United States and its allies not only imply prolonged bloodshed and new casualties, but also increase the danger of a direct military conflict between Russia and Western countries.”
“We ask that Washington stop carrying out provocative actions that could have the most serious consequences,” he added.
On Tuesday, the Pentagon announced a new $625 million military aid package for Ukraine, which includes, among other things, four HIMARS multiple rocket launchers and ammunition for them, in addition to 32 artillery pieces, 200 armored vehicles and other equipment.
The United States keeps increasing the shipment of weapons to Zelensky’s government, despite constant attacks against civilians in Donbass, the information from the Russian Foreign Ministry stressed.
