According to Rogov, after control has been reestablished, a vote will be called in the territory “so that all inhabitants can participate in the incorporation” of the region into Russia.
President Vladimir Putin signed on September 30th the accession agreements with Russia of the people’s republics of Donetsk and Luhansk, as well as the provinces of Kherson and Zaporozhye.
The ceremony took place at the Kremlin and was attended by the leaders of the republics, Denis Pushilin and Leonid Pasechnik, as well as the heads of the administrations of Kherson and Zaporozhye, Vladimir Saldo and Evgueni Balitski, respectively.
These regions called on the referendums of accession into Russia considering they will gain protection from attacks by Ukraine and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, which supplies Ukraine with weapons and intelligence.
