Uruguayan media condemns cyberattack to favor Bolsonaro’s messages

Ciberataque-1
Montevideo, Oct 2 (Prensa Latina) Uruguayan media is presently following Brazil´s presidential elections, and one of them has condemned one of its Twitter accounts has been hacked sharing messages in favor of Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro.

It does not seem coincidental that the cyberattack was against TV Ciudad, a Montevideo TV channel, fell into hands of the opposition Frente Amplio party, local media reported.

Bolsonaro is intending to be reelected vs former President Inacio Lula Da Silva, a left-wing referent and favorite at the Brazilian elections to be held today.

TV Ciudad Manager Alejandra Casablanca assured on Twitter “they are already working in Cybercrimes due to current cyberattack”.

Brazilian election is followed with particular attention not only because they share borders but also because if Lula wins it will confirm the time of changes in favor of progressive governments, a current of which neither President Luis Lacalle Pou nor the country´s big media are sympathetic.
