On Twitter, Jean-Luc Mélenchon showed his expectation that with the Brazilians´ strength the extreme right, represented by Jair Bolsonaro who aspires to be re-elected will be defeated at the polls.

Neither the media hype nor manipulated confinement could defeat our Lula, Mélenchon tweeted.

LFI’s International Relations representative Christian Rodríguez, on the other hand, told Prensa Latina how significant a Lula´s victory will be for getting both democracy and social commitment back.

Bolsonaro´s management made a setback of the social achievements of the Workers’ Party, and nature destruction found a high expression, Rodríguez added.

Mélenchon’s international advisor considered that a Lula´s eventual victory would be the overthrow of hatred and destruction.
