Lukashenko stressed that there is a lot of talk about this conflict, and quite a few say that they would like there to be peace (in Ukraine), according to information from the Belta press agency.
“(…) once again I warn the leaders of the continent to come to their senses and do everything possible so that there is peace (in Ukraine), the President said.
Lukashenko also explained that the conflict between close peoples is a great tragedy.
“What is happening in Ukraine is a direct consequence of strategic intrigues and the greatest stupidity, especially of Western politicians,” he considered.
Lukashenko stressed that Belarus sincerely tried to avoid “this madness” and recalled that it was always in favor of negotiations, and that the three rounds of talks between Russia and Ukraine took place on Belarusian soil.
