Greece warns of Türkiye´s bordering violations

Athens, Sep 29 (Prensa Latina) Violating Greece's borders, whoever commits it, will not go unpunished, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis warned at a Navy Ceremony.

Mitsotakis noted, apparently referring to neighboring Türkiye, that history has taught that ‘whoever violates the borders will eventually be punished’, while adding that ‘in the 21st century there is no place for imperial visions of other eras’.

According to AMNA News channel, prime Minister Mitsotakis stated the differences are solved peacefully and in accordance with international law. This is what our peoples are calling for, and this is a big mistake, as some try to poison people´s ideas by inventing enemies where they simply do not exist, said Mitsotakis.

Greece’s Navy and Air Force are nowadays more powerful, with 24 new upgraded Rafale and F-16 Viper fighters, the new International Training Center in Kalamata, as well as the land forces.

On September 23, addressing at the 77th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA), Mitsotakis warned Türkiye that it was unacceptable to question Greek Islands´ sovereignty on the grounds that Athens was allegedly strengthening its defenses.

According to him, Türkiye’s claims regarding sovereignty over the Greek islands are unfounded.
