According to Cuban Ambassador to Ireland Bernardo Guanche, the event took place in Belfast, where Cuban resident Yasmari Perdomo explained to participants the role played by the CDRs since the organization was founded on September 28, 1960, by the historic leader of the Revolution, Fidel Castro.
Participants also welcomed the referendum on the new Family Code, which is taking place in Cuba on Sunday, condemned the unilateral blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba, and demanded its lifting.
The Cuban ambassador sent a message to the participants in the event, and thanked them for their permanent solidarity with the Caribbean nation.
