On his Twitter account, the head of State noted that “today is an appointment with the future and a day to change everything that should be changed in family law in Cuba.” See you at the polls, he said.
On the same social network, the National People’s Power Assembly (Parliament) shared the words of its president, Esteban Lazo, who called on citizens to “vote YES for the new Family Code, for inclusion, love, affection, peace and social justice.”
More than 23,000 polling stations opened on Sunday throughout the country, so that Cubans can exercise their right to vote in the popular referendum on the new Family Code.
