Al-Mekdad thanked the G-77 for its ongoing support and also for presenting the annual draft resolution on permanent sovereignty of the Syrian and Palestinian peoples over lands and natural resources.
The G-77 has been taking a steadfast stance on the Palestinian issue and the occupied Syrian Golan, thus strongly rejecting unilateral coercive measures that undermine efforts to reach development and prosperity, the Syrian foreign minister stressed.
On the other hand, he reaffirmed his country will continue striving to eliminate terrorism and liberate the occupied territories, and it will also continue confronting coercive measures he termed as economic terrorism.
We urge theG-77 member states to keep on supporting Syria´s efforts in reconstruction and recovery, Al-Mekdad concluded.
