During a meeting with his Mexican counterpart Marcelo Ebrard, in the framework of the UN General Assembly (UNGA), both sides expressed deep satisfaction for the excellent bilateral relations and also their willingness to strengthen ties in sectors of mutual interest, the Cuban Foreign Minister posted on Twitter.
On May 20, Cuba and Mexico celebrated 120 years of uninterrupted diplomatic relations, marked by brotherhood and solidarity.
Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel, on the other hand, granted his Mexican counterpart Andrés Manuel López Obrador the José Martí Order, the highest decoration awarded by the government.
