The voting will be held between September 23rd and 27th, and for security reasons, the vote will be held in the access areas to residential buildings and through door-to-door surveys of residents, the Russian TASS agency said on Friday.
The voting process in the people’s republics of Donbass can be followed through the Telegram channels created by the regional Electoral Commissions on the eve of the referendum.
Residents of these two republics will have to answer the question whether they support “the incorporation of the republic into the Russian Federation as a constituent entity.”
Meanwhile, the ballots to be used in the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions present the question: “are you in favor of the accession (…) into the Russian Federation as a subject of Russia?”
The authorities of the province of Kherson announced that they expect the participation of some 750,000 voters, while there are 500,000 people on the voter lists for the Zaporozhye region.
One and a half million ballots were printed in the people’s republic of Donetsk, based on the number of people who can attend the referendum.
