The response to this problem should have a comprehensive approach to people, who are considered as a center, subject, resources, motivation, and goals of development, Minh Chinh stressed in a message issued to the UN high-level restricted session on climate change.
It is essential to ensure fair and equitable management as a whole and for each nation, the Vietnamese head of Government stressed before reiterating that his country has been a responsible member of the United Nations and proactively and determinedly implements its international commitments with the highest responsibility.
Minh Chinh also called on more developed countries to support Vietnam in terms of technology transfer, financial incentives, human resources training, and experience sharing to improve institutions and management systems.
He said that support will help achieve the goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions, effectively responding to climate change, ensuring energy security and sustainable socio-economic development, and improving the Vietnamese people’s spiritual and material lives.
