Abbas met on Wednesday separately with his Libyan counterpart, Mohamed al-Menfi, and the Prime Ministers of the United Kingdom, Liz Truss, of Malta, Robert Abela, of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Ralph Gonsalves, and of Norway, Jonas Gahr Store.
During the meetings, the President emphasized the Palestinian position on the need to achieve a just and lasting peace in accordance with United Nations resolutions.
The head of state also spoke with his Nigerian counterpart, Muhammadu Buhari, with whom he addressed the continuing Israeli violations.
The leader is expected to demand the recognition of Palestine as a member state with full rights in the international organization during his upcoming speech on Friday, although the United States, which has veto power in the Security Council, flatly rejected such a possibility.
