Kim Jong Un issued a statement addressed to Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel expressing his satisfaction at the solidity of Cubans in the face of aggression of various kinds and in safeguarding their conquests, the ACNC news agency reported.
Kim Jong Un thanked Diaz-Canel for his congratulations on the 74th anniversary of North Korea, and expressed his belief that the DPRK and Cuba will further strengthen and develop their traditional ties of friendship and cooperation between the two parties and peoples.
He also expressed sincere wishes for greater success for Díaz-Canel in his work at the head of Cuba.
Cuba and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea celebrated on last August 29th 62 years of diplomatic relations, characterized by mutual solidarity and cooperation.
Fidel Castro Ruz and Kim Il Sung promoted the establishment of ties between the two countries.
Since August 29th, 1960, relations have stayed at the highest level at all times, expressed in the visits of various Cuban leaders to DPRK territory and vice versa.
