The G20 ministers began to arrive in Bali for the reception and the multilateral sessions that will be held on Thursday and Friday.
According to a statement from the Spanish Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism, the G20 ministers will deal with measures to support the strengthening of the multilateral trading system to seek a stronger and more collaborative global recovery following the Covid-19.
At the meeting, trade ministers will pay particular attention to the needs of the most vulnerable amid challenges such as food and energy security, which some question as ineffective treatment.
The WTO reform, a goal set in 2021 by the G20, will promote open, transparent and fair trade.
The G20 meeting emerges amid tensions over the Ukraine conflict, triggering an increased energy prices, and China’s zero Covid-19 policy.
