Aoun assured that the talks endorse Lebanon’s position to benefit from gas and oil in the specified fields in its exclusive economic zone, far from Tel Aviv’s ambitions.
Lebanon defends the unified position in relation to Line 23 and the entire Qana field, a disputed oil and gas-rich area of some 860 square kilometers.
At the beginning of last June, the presence of the Energean Power platform at the service of Israel on the southern border of Lebanon with occupied Palestine fueled the maritime dispute with Tel Aviv.
