The TWS warned there is a tsunami threat for the Michoacán and Colima coasts, but this has not been yet confirmed by the Mexican authorities who have so far spoke only of sea variations.
According to TWS, the magnitude-7.4 offshore earthquake could be felt in neighboring states, from Colima to Morelos, with no further deaths or material damage reported up to now.
Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador confirmed the death of an individual from Manzanillo, Colima, due to a wall that fell in a shopping mall.
