This agreement, in force since September 1, envisages prioritizing each company’s products and services and also joining forces to develop their base airports in the region’s major airports. The comprehensive cooperation will promote exchanges between China and Southeast Asian and Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) nations and offer many choices and superior travel experiences to passengers globally, China Southern Airlines President and Deputy Chairman Han Wensheng assessed.
According to Vietnam Airlines Director-General Le Hong Ha, the agreement will not only expand benefits to travelers but also contribute to strengthening the economic, cultural, and social relations between Vietnam and China.
China Southern Airlines boasts the largest fleet in Asia, comprising over 640 planes, operates a broad network of domestic and international routes, and is major domestic cargo carrier.
Vietnam Airlines, on the other hand, operates more than 100 planes which fly to 61 destinations in and out the country.
