“Stop using the tools of protectionism, illegal sanctions and economic selfishness for your own purposes,” the President declared at a meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
Putin pointed out that Russia’s policy is devoid of any ‘selfishness’.
Regarding the decision of the European Commission to lift the sanctions on Russian fertilizers on last September 10th, the statesman commented that “they have been lifted only for the member countries of the EU. Only they can buy our fertilizers! (What about) the poorest countries in the world?” Putin emphasized.
The head of the Kremlin stressed that the work of the SCO is built on both politics and economics, which opens up prospects for greater ‘mutually beneficial’ cooperation in politics, economics, culture, humanitarian aid and other fields’.
