During the event, on September 15-16, SCO leaders deal with issues, including strengthening economic, cultural, and humanitarian ties, transport interconnections and security capabilities, Russian media reported this Thursday.
Parallel to the summit agenda, Putin will hold meetings with his counterparts from China, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Pakistan, Turkey, and Uzbekistan.
Founded in 2001, the SCO comprises eight member states: China, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
In addition, Afghanistan, Belarus, Iran, and Mongolia act as observers, while Armenia, Azerbaijan, Cambodia, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Turkey have the status of dialogue partners at the summit.
