As the Kremlin official told the Russian press, during the meeting to be held on September 15 and 16, Putin will hold meetings with the presidents of Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Iran, China, Turkey and Azerbaijan.
Likewise, the president of the Eurasian giant will hold consultations with the prime ministers of India and Pakistan.
In particular, Putin is expected to discuss the situation in Ukraine in detail with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Ushakov said, adding that Beijing has stated that it understands the causes that forced Russia to launch a special military operation.
The Russian president also plans to discuss international issues with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The issues of strategic stability, the situation in Asia-Pacific and, of course, cooperation within the framework of large multilateral formats such as the UN, the Group of 20 and the SCO will be examined, said the Russian presidential adviser.
With the president of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi, the Russian leader will address the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action on the Iranian nuclear program, and with the Turkish head of state, the food pact on the export of Ukrainian grain, as well as various bilateral economic issues.
Founded in 2001, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) today includes eight member states: China, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
Afghanistan, Belarus, Iran and Mongolia participate as observers; while Armenia, Azerbaijan, Cambodia, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Turkey have the rank of dialogue partners.
