Charly Bouhana and Febrice Lecrec, Presidents of Cuba Si France and France Cuba Organizations, respectively, held meetings at their corresponding stands in which they condemned the economic, commercial and financial blockade Washington has been imposing on Cuba for more than 60 years.
They also shared with participants some details of their activities to support the Cuban people in face of the impact of the blockade, including donations sent to Cuba, an action also put into practice in response to the deadly fire that popped up at the Supertanker Base in the western province of Matanzas on August 5.
The head of the Cuban delegation Deputy Yoerky Sanchez thanked both French organizations and stressed the willingness of the Cuban people to fight off both US blockade and aggressions.
Your support and actions are well known in Cuba, from where I bring you greetings from the Cuban people, the youth and the Communist Party, Sanchez said.
At the Cuba Si France meeting, communist parliamentary leader André Chassaigne strongly rejected the extraterritorial nature of the U.S. blockade, while the Director of the General Confederation of Labor (CGT) in Val de Marne, Cédric Quintin, reiterated his strong support for Cuba.
