In the friendly letter, addressed to the General Secretary of the Workers’ Party Kim Jong Un, the Cuban leader expressed that on behalf of the Cuban people, Communist Party and government, he availed himself of that opportunity to extend his warmest congratulations on this important event, ACNC news agency reported.

We really appreciate the political talks at the highest level, an expression of the close friendship, political trust and mutual solidarity that characterize our bilateral relations.

It is the perfect setting to reaffirm the willingness to strengthen the historic ties of friendship and cooperation that unite our peoples, parties and governments.

Please accept the assurances of my highest consideration and esteem, the document concluded.

In recent days, Kim Jong Un, also Chairman of State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) underlined the willingness to strengthen and develop friendly and cooperative relations between the parties and peoples of the two nations.

The DPRK has on several occasions expressed its full support and solidarity for the struggle of the Cuban Party, government and people to safeguard national sovereignty and its Revolution.
