Starting on Saturday, all Chinese provinces require the population to present a negative PCR test taken 48 hours before boarding any public transportation, either bus, train, plane, or ferry.

However, the local governments are urging citizens to stay in their areas of residence and not to make unnecessary trips. If they do so, then they must undergo another PCR test after they arrive at their destinations.

Authorities will require a PCR test to enter recreational sites and book hotel accommodations, but they urge people to avoid gatherings and visiting crowded establishments.

The measures will be in force until late October. According to the National Health Commission, they will be readjusted again, depending on how the epidemiological situation evolves.
